yk the game itself is fine, but my problem is that the controls are out of their everything.

the beginning sign said press A to jump, but i had already learned in the menu that i can use WASD to move (including A, moving left)

speaking of the menu, it was super confusing to navigate, pressing new game told me there is no save data, and then leaving the menu and pressing start a second time THEN started the game. it might be a me problem, in that case oh well.

the game is great though sooooooo

Check the controls in the description. All the text in-game was written with playing on a real Gameboy in mind, so it was talking about the a button, not the a key. The equivalent on KB is Z.
